Daher findet sich quando häufig, jedoch nach Beschaffenheit des Ausdrucks auch aliquando, neben den Konjunktionen si, ne, quo, num u. a.). – interdum (»dann u. wann, zuweilen« in der Zeit). – umquam (»je, [emals«, hat, wie die deutschen Ausdrr., einen negativen Sinn u. steht nicht bloß in negativen Sätzen, sondern auch in Fragesätzen u. solchen Sätzen, denen ein Zweifel oder sonst eine negative Bedeutung zugrunde liegt). – fortasse. forsitan (»vielleicht«, dienen dazu, ein Urteil problematisch darzustellen, letzteres mit noch zweifelhafterem Sinne u. daher mit folg. Konjunktiv. Geht ein si, nisi, ne, num vorher, so tritt forte statt fortasse ein, s. »etwa« das Nähere). – irgendeiner, irgend jemand, irgend etwas, aliquis. quis. aliquispiam. quispiam. quisquam. ullus. (Hier merke man: aliquis, aliqua, aliquid [subst.] u. aliquis od. aliqui, aliqua, aliquod [adjekt.] bezeichnen das unbestimmte »irgendein« im bejahenden Sinne und stehen da, wo das Vorhandensein einer Person od. Sache angedeutet werden soll, auf deren nähere Bestimmung man sich jedoch nicht einläßt. Soll aber dasjenige »irgendein« angedeutet werden, das ohne allen Nebenbegr. der bloßen Vorstellung, nicht aber einer auf einen wirklichen Fall bezogenen Aussage angehört, so steht quis, u. zwar nicht bloß nach den Konjunktionen si, nisi, num, ne, quo, sondern nach allen direkten u. indirekten Fragen, in den abhängigen Nebensätzen, in denen mit dem »irgendein« etwas bloß Mögliches, Gedachtes, nicht aber Faktisches bezeichnet wird. Aliquispiam u. quispiam [subst. u. adjekt.] kommen dem aliquis am nächsten, beziehen sich aber auf eine gewisse Mehrheit in der Art, daß es völlig gleichgültig ist, wen von dieser Mehrheit man sich unter diesem einen denken will. Quisquam u. ullus, von denen jenesnur im Singular und subst., dieses adjekt. steht, verbinden mit dem Begriff der Unbestimmtheit den der Negation. Daher müssen dieselben nicht bloß in eigentlich negativen Sätzen, sondern auch in solchen, in denen ein negativer Sinn versteckt ist, wie in Fragen etc., gebraucht werden). – irgends, s. irgendwo. – irgendwie, aliquā (auf irgend einem Wege = auf irgend eine Art u. Weise); utcumque (auf irgend eine Art, wie es auch sei). – irgendwo, alicubi (an irgend einem Orte od. in irgend einer Sache); aliquo loco. aliquā. uspiam. usquam (irgend an einem Orte, mit. dems.
